Material PCTG

PCTG (glykolytereftalát copolyester) is a material that is becoming increasingly popular for 3D printing. PCTG is a modification of PETG that has improved properties compared to PETG.

One of the advantages of PCTG is its high accessibility. The tent material is transparent but has a very low tendency to yellow or fade, which means that finished products with PCTG will be clear and transparent for a long time. This makes this material ideal for the production of finished products that require a high quality of light transmission, such as glasses or lamps.

In addition, PCTG is less susceptible to deformation at high temperatures compared to other materials such as PLA. This material also has excellent resistance to UV radiation, so finished products with PCTG retain their color and quality even when exposed to sunlight for a long time.

PCTG is also an excellent material for printing vodotesných products. This material has excellent water resistance and can be used for the production of finished products that must be soaked in water, such as bottle caps or parts of water filters.

One of the disadvantages of PCTG is its higher price compared to some other 3D printing materials, such as PLA. In addition, PCTG is a more difficult to print material, which requires a higher printing temperature and greater accuracy of printer settings. This means that even before printing with PCTG, it is necessary to use a printer with higher quality and precision.

Depending on the application and the requirements of the finished product, PCTG can be an excellent material for 3D printing. Its high permeability, resistance to water and resistance to deformation at high temperatures make it an ideal material for some specific applications.
